Recs: 17 cue theme: http://www.joeyfiasco.com/mp3/Rocket Robin Hood.mp3 Today's Episode: Up the Fundamental Aperture run bio vignette as found in 321184 Open with shot of Biff at the helm of a tiny one man space ship, holding an unfolded, cumbersome star chart upside down. Narrator: In our last episode, Babbling Biff was sent by evil Prince John and the Sherriff of N.O.T.T. on a quest to find asteroid kernel 2.7, which, unbeknownst to Biff, does not exist. Cut to throne room, where Prince John and the Sherriff of N.O.T.T. are wiping tears from their eyes, having had a hearty laugh at the thought of Biff questing pointlessly for the non-existant asteroid kernel 2.7. Sherriff of N.O.T.T.: And that's not all, Sire! I took the liberty of providing Biff with a tracking device to help him "locate" the asteroid! Prince John: Chortle! E

Let's not forget that the software they used violates the copyrights of others. That, plus the company's unacceptable responses, show that Sony has no moral high ground to stand on. I expect the musicians to sue Sony for lost sales. This whole fiasco will not put Sony out of business, but it will cost the company millions of dollars. Who knows? Maybe Sony and the other record companies will actually learn something from all this. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Boar

Sony customer's mad, now artists, next?

Message ID: 321933 Posted By: inymical Posted On: 2005-11-20 13:16:00 Subject: Sony customer's mad, now artists, next? Recs: 18 http://www.boingboing.net/2005/11/20/sony_insider_drm_is_.html "Some of the top Sony BMG artists who had XCP placed on their CDs are complaining directly to the label heads, furious that it will hurt their relationship to their fans and their sales as they go into the massively important Christmas season. Add that to rising number of anti-DRM voices within in the company who have been against DRM as only hurting "the people that are doing the right thing and buying our music." This all means that some of the label heads are finally starting to believe that DRM is just bad for business." Sony of course will claim they have moral high ground in spite of hurting their customers, their suppliers, and no doubt their employees. Just what is the point of this malevolent middleman, anyway? ------------------------------------

Your moustache makes a fine pair of handlebars! Biff: mrffgmmglff, Sir. Cut to Prince John's throne room. The Prince sits on his throne while the Sherriff of N.O.T.T. skulks nervously, pacing in front of the throne. Prince John: Something has got to be done about that disgusting little creature you've got working in the kitchen! Sherriff of N.O.T.T (looking dismayed): You mean Biff sire... Prince John: Yes, Biff. He smells wretched, and tried to feed me mollusks last night and this morning it was chocolate for breakfast! Is he trying to make me ill? Sherriff of N.O.T.

At the sight of Robin, take your stand With the gallant leader of our band. Send a joyous shout throughout the land For Rocket Robin Hood!!! Piss-boy to the court of evil Prince John and courtesan to the Sheriff of N.O.T.T., Babbling Biff utilizes his incredible density to confound his opponents with non sequitors and meaningless questions. Too short for an electro quarterstaff, Biff wields stale baguettes and his fearsome handlebar moustache when running from battle. Found lost on the edge of the cosmos looking for the elusive asteroid kernel 2.7 due to his illiterate misreading of galactic star charts, Biff insists to anyone who will listen that it exists. "Well, there was plans for an asteroid kernel 2.7, but then the show got cancelled", said

First ad was for MS, and linked directly to the Get The Facts page. Filtered that out, came back, and now there's an ad for SCO! I clicked the link and ended up not at SCO, but at ZD's eWeak 'Linux & Open Source Topic Center'! What does it all *mean*? ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "mitmosnar" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------
