Mo' trouble

Message ID: 262845 Posted By: mitmosnar Posted On: 2005-05-08 20:31:00 Subject: Mo' trouble Recs: 14 So Mendacious Mo has decided to flame out in an onomatophobic siezure! At last the querulous quidnunc has become so fevered with malevolence that she has *destroyed herself*!!! True or not, the execrable acrimony of her obsessed, afflictive "journalism" is an abhorrent hue of sickly yellow that may even be more repugnant than that of her brittle tresses. Let's suspend disbelief for a moment and pretend that OSRM had a fictional character created by a 666 eyed demon from the 9th circle of Hell summoned by IBM PR wizards working for them for several months. No? O.K., let's not. After all, Eggers, Ravicher and Moglen are all *in on it too*!!! How about the other alternative, that PJ is a woman working as a paralegal out of her apartment? Wooooooo!!! That kind of evil usually involves menacing finger wiggling and the stroking of piano strings!!! W...

I figure "who cares?" and wonder over here to see what's up. What do I find?: Grokwar. *sigh* mrbutthole: please, for the love of God leave me out of your fevered theories in the future. I don't relish having to come here and wade through reruns of the first two seasons every time some halfwit wants to don the conical Encyclopedia Brown headgear. Hey there

Hint: If you squint a little, you can see the strings. Occasionally, a boom mic swings in and out of view. The matte painting occasionally reflects the lights, robbing the background of depth. See you in a few months. ------------------------------------------------------------ The text of this Yahoo Message Board post has been licensed for copying and distribution by the Yahoo Message Board user "t_i_m_ransom" under the following license: License:  CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike v2.0 ------------------------------------------------------------

BGLE Standards Of Excellence

Message ID: 224686 Posted By: t_i_m_ransom Posted On: 2005-01-18 15:34:00 Subject: BGLE Standards Of Excellence Recs: 21 Who can withstand the laser scrutiny of the ever vigilant BGLE inquisition? Who is worthy, and who falls short of the BGLE's high standards, the contingent factors of which remain a mystery?: PJ, founder of Groklaw - nope Daniel Ravicher, founder of pubpat, OSRM patent counsel, pro bono FSF legal counsel - nope Bruce Perens, founder of OSI, OSRM board member - nope Professor Eben Moglen, director, pubpat, pro bono FSF legal counsel - nope Jeff Causey, CFO of Alamance County (100% Microsoft), founder of "ip-wars" - yep Dan Lyons of Forbes (for trying to smear Ravicher) - yep Themselves - They are beyond reproach Me - not bloody likely, but I'm apparently in good company. Here's a tip: any association with Groklaw or PJ will result in 1,000,000 demerits! ------------------------------------------------------...

The stolid, hoary nags have been raised from the dead for a Halloween beating. So long, and thanks to some. Reap what you sow

Message ID: 192280 Posted By: mitmosnar Posted On: 2004-10-14 11:56:00 Subject: Reap what you sow Recs: 0 This schism is the direct result of petulance, betrayal and stupidity. Warmcat emails PJ, then publicizes selected excerpts thereof when he doesn't get the desired result. Why not do what people in reality do? Quietly try again. Complaining that he didn't get a response in what was initially described as '60 times longer' than the first reply took, he goes public. Turns out '60 times longer' was actually *under two days* over a weekend. Ridiculous. (and he calls me a 'blowhard' :D) If he was going to publicize the contents of a purportedly private email discussion anyway, why didn't he go to Groklaw and make the request publicly? For a guy bitching about 'Openness', that would have made more sense. It would also have meant we could all see the dialog unedited and discuss it where it belongs, on Groklaw. It was weasel wo...

Darl innovates

Message ID: 190563 Posted By: mitmosnar Posted On: 2004-10-09 21:34:00 Subject: Darl Innovates! Recs: 0 Diamond Darl McBride has revealed a revolutionary new marketing tack sure to lift the nose of his plummeting Unix biz: Selling software...over the Internet! Here's some of Darl's trademark clarity: 'With SCO Marketplace, the first phase is to get new developers in, and phase two is to create an iTunes for business applications market place, if you will," McBride told ComputerWire. "The second layer to growth is the new application layer". Phases, layers, - the man is a genius! 'Alluding to the way Apple responded to the problem of music file-sharing by launching a cheap and easily accessible legal market place, he said: "We believe there's a corollary there, an open model for a bigger distribution engine for online applications, following the lead that Apple set in the music business."' http://tinyurl.com/55ch...
