Another day, another stupid SCO press release.

They'll be "exhibiting" at a few tradeshows this year, which is Big News apparently.

DTR Conference, MySQL Users Conference, the National Association of Broadcasters Conference (NAB), Open Systems Partners in Profit Conference, and BASIS Tech Conference 2006.
<<

Several of these seemed rather obscure, so I did a little digging:

* The DTR Conference is coming up in 2 weeks, at the Luxor casino in Vegas. DTR is one of SCO's longtime partners from the OldSCO era, and this is just a little show for their partners and resellers.

The conference agenda indicates that much of it is going to be about SCO products, and also suggests the conference will be rather small. You have your choice between a SCO-centric track and a Vista-centric track. Eegah!

* The National Association of Broadcasters Convention isn't exactly obscure. It'll be in Vegas as well, April 22-27, just days after DTR '06 wraps up. The NAB show is *huge*, and SCO may have a small booth down a dark corridor or something. I wonder why they think their stuff is remotely relevant to the broadcasting industry? That's the obscure part. Maybe just so Darl and friends can spend more time in Vegas. Makes as much sense as anything.

* The MySQL show will be in Santa Clara, CA, on April 24-27.

They don't seem to be trying for a really high profile at this show (which is probably wise), but Sandy Gupta's giving a talk:

* The Open Systems "Partners in Profit" conference is a conference for partners of Open Systems, Inc., a producer of accounting and vertical apps for a variety of platforms. It'll be in Minneapolis on June 8-10. (Should we try to talk Salty into going to this?)

* So far I can't find anything about this "BASIS Tech Conference 2006". Anybody heard of this?
